Bermuda-based triathlete Marie-Lyne Dore delivered an extraordinary endurance performance at Ironman Wisconsin, capturing victory in her age group and finishing as the second female competitor overall.
Displaying remarkable consistency and pacing across all three disciplines, Dore completed the grueling 140.6-mile course in Madison in an impressive overall time of 10 hours, 19 minutes, and 28 seconds.
The performance earned her 42nd place across the entire field of male and female competitors.
Dore established herself near the front early on, navigating the choppy waters of Lake Monona to complete the 2.4-mile swim in 1:06:12.
Transitioning onto the bike, she tackled the famously hilly and technical 112-mile course with relentless rhythm, clocking a brisk 5:35:09 split to surge into contention among the elite women.
She then sealed her commanding position during the marathon finale. Running with tactical precision and composure, Dore logged a superb 3:29:41 split over the 26.2-mile run through downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin campus.
The effort secured her top spot in the competitive F40–44 division, as well as the runner-up spot on the overall women’s podium, capping a landmark day on the international endurance circuit.
