Hawley secures Impressive 6th at World Cup Edmonton

Bermuda's Erica Hawley produced a stellar performance to finish sixth at the 2026 World Triathlon Cup Edmonton. Competing in excellent conditions at William Hawrelak Park in Canada, Hawley crossed the line in a time of 1:00:23, putting her just 1 minute 48 seconds behind the race winner, Olympic medalist Taylor Knibb of the United States. Hawley set a strong foundation early on, navigating the opening swim leg to emerge from the water in 10 minutes 5 seconds. She then showed great strength on the bike, tackling the technical Edmonton course in 31:22 to keep herself firmly in contention with the chasing pack. An impressive final run of 17:28 saw Hawley hold off a late charge from the field to seal a superb top-six finish on the world stage, continuing her fine form at the elite international level.
